those of Executive Engineer ( $3,000 rising to $ 3,600 ) and

-Assistant Engineer ($ 2,400 rising to $3,000) respectively

in the Public Works Department, and that Messrs Dixon and

Macdonald be allowed to draw the maxima under those scales as

from the 1st of January last.

Both these gentlemen are qualified Engineers.
